Live Therapeutic Music

What is therapeutic or prescriptive music?

Therapeutic music is live music created by a specially trained musician to meet the specific needs of a person in that moment, and to foster an environment conducive to healing. As the person’s needs evolve, so does the music.

Does it work?

Yes, it does. Scientific evidence shows that therapeutic music can help stabilize heart rate, help regulate breathing patterns and lower blood pressure. Patients who are anxious or nervous often report feeling calmer and stronger after a therapeutic music session. Patients in pain usually report a significant reduction of pain. Patients may need less medication when treated with therapeutic music.
